Senior Accounting Manager

Our client is seeking a qualified Senior Accounting Manager to join their organization. This is a Direct Hire role.

Responsibilities:

‍

• Experience reviewing junior accountants’ work
• Effectively communicating with the team, clients, and relevant government agencies

• Audit and review engagement preparation, including financial statements and supporting working papers
• Compilation engagements and financial statements for clients in a variety of industries
• Assisting and leading larger audit and review engagements within a supervised team
• As needed, preparation of Personal, Corporate, Partnership and Trust tax returns
• As needed, Preparation of tax compliance and information filings including T4, T5, EHT, HST and WSIB filings
• Ensuring that all audit and accounting issues are properly identified and resolved in a timely manner
• Understanding accounting technical standards relevant to financial reporting in Canada
• Directly working with clients to co-ordinate the efficient completion of engagements, request necessary information, and review accounting transactions.
• Correspondence with CRA regarding corporate, personal, payroll, and sales tax issues.

Qualifications:

‍

• CPA Designation
• 5+ years of recent public accounting experience
