Technical Sales Representative
Our client is an established and growing distributor of specialized mechanical equipment in Canada. They are seeking a Technical Sales Representative to join their team. This is a DIRECT HIRE role and an excellent long-term, career opportunity.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Effectively manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close
• Establish, develop and grow both new and existing customer relationships to maximize growth
• Sales and territory management to meet set targets
• Carry out action plans to identify and acquire new business
• Keep up-to-date with the latest industry, competitor and product trends
• Manage customer requirements and expectations for delivery
• Prepare quotations and conduct follow-ups to customers to advance the sale forward and to close deals
• Other duties as required
Requirements:
• Must have a minimum of 2 to 3 years (preferably 5 to 10 years) of proven technical sales experience of industrial equipment in the Greater Toronto area
• Excellent communication, English, and interpersonal skills required
• Able to manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close
• Assets: previous experience with compressors and/or positive displacement blowers and/or vacuum pumps and/or pumps; previous experience selling rotating equipment; technical /engineering background
• Business and/or Engineering degree (or other technical degree) or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Positive attitude, outgoing personality, great listener, and a team player
• Proven sales, presentation, cold call, and relationship building abilities
• Flexibility and able to handle pressure effectively
• Solid organization, time management and a business mindset
• Solid computer skills
