Senior Financial Analyst

Our client is seeking a qualified Senior Financial Analyst to join their organization. This is a Direct Hire role.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements, management reports, balance sheets, inventory reconciliations, etc.

• Perform variance analysis on actuals vs. budget/forecast and provide value-added insights to senior leaders and other key stakeholders.

• Provide insights on top-line performance, Trade Spend, SG&A expense, and other key metrics.

• Preparing budgets, forecasts, supporting annual external audits, and other ad-hoc requirements.

• Prepare financial reports and other deliverables to meet global deadlines as set by the financial leadership.

• Ensure timely preparation & filing of Canada tax returns, including Income tax, VAT, CFC, BEPS filings (e.g. GloBE Information Return) and other taxes.

• Provide analytical support for Global Portfolio Managers and Commercial Regional Managers.

• Maintain an effective internal control framework and monitor the financial health of the entity(s).

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience (commodity industry preferred)

• CPA Designation / Accreditation is a requirement for this role

• Current or prior audit experience is an asset

• Current of prior experience in taxation is an asset

• Strong skills in technical accounting and understanding of IFRS principles.

• Must be an advanced user of Excel and experienced in creating complex financial models.
